Every tier runs on the same pipeline: SEC Schedule 13D/G filings cross-referenced with insider Form 4 activity, institutional consensus, and short interest. Free gets the signal 48 hours later. Paid gets it the moment it clears the pipeline.

“$1M per $1B AUM is what funds budget for alt-data.”

Morgan Stanley HF alt-data benchmark. The institutional incumbents charge $18–20K a year for less cross-referencing. This is $49.

Common questions

Why is the free tier delayed 48 hours?

The delay is the product boundary. Filings are public the moment EDGAR accepts them — what we sell is the enriched, cross-referenced signal in real time. Two days later that same signal is still genuinely useful for research, journalism, and slower strategies, so we give it away instead of crippling it.

What happens when I subscribe?

Checkout is Stripe. The moment payment clears, every alert on your email flips to real-time automatically and your API key arrives by email. No sales call, no onboarding queue. Cancel anytime — your alerts drop back to the free 48-hour tier rather than disappearing.

How is this different from 13D Monitor or WhaleWisdom?

13D Monitor is institutional-priced (~$18K/yr) and built for a different buyer. WhaleWisdom Pro is retail (~$500/yr) and doesn't cross-reference insider activity. 13D Watch sits in the gap: the overlap signal funds want, at a price an individual can expense without asking anyone.

How often do alerts fire?

Only when there is new activity worth flagging. The product is event-driven, not high-frequency — some weeks bring several filings, others bring none. We do not send empty digests just to keep up a cadence.

What if I just want the data feed and no email?

Individual includes a personal API key; Team includes the full REST API with higher limits. If you want to pull from your own pipeline and skip the email entirely, that's fine.

Who runs this?

13D Watch is built and operated by Longstreet Consulting. Enterprise engagements include direct advisory from the team that built the data pipeline — custom signals, integration help, and research support.

Is this investment advice?

No. 13D Watch is research data on public SEC filings. Read carefully, do your own work, decide for yourself. The standing disclaimer in the footer is the operative one.

Larger teams

Multi-team setups, larger seat counts, custom data licensing, and Longstreet Consulting advisory engagements are scoped directly.
